Worked in the Tokyo bureau of a major US newspaper more than 10 years, and for the multilingual website nippon.com, Also was a chief researcher for the book “Sushi and Beyond”. Has lived Kamakura area more than 30 years.
Has been practicing tea ceremony more than 10 years. Loves nature activities such as seakayaking and hiking around.
Member of the Japan Folk Crafts Art Association (Nihon Mingei Kyokai).
